BelRom, the company that developed the biggest retail park in Transylvania, in Sibiu, which was finally sold in an 83 million-euro transaction to the British fund North Real Estate Opportunities, has put Deva and Focsani on its list of retail expansion. BelRom, a company controlled by Belgian shareholders, will complete construction on three retail parks by March next year, in Targu-Mures, Bacau, and Braila, following an average investment of 50 million euros in each location. "We have already bought the land for the locations set for the construction of the retail parks. We are also discussing acquiring land for the development of another five or six shopping centres throughout the country," said Carl Decoopman, general manager of BelRom, who also explained that he could not reveal the location of the land that the company is in negotiations to buy.
