06.08.2008, 20:27 13

Belgian developer Immo Industry Group (IIG) will become involved in industrial projects in Romania when it builds two industrial parks near Bucharest and in Satu-Mare, which will be built in stages depending on demand, with the investment expected to total around 100 million euros. "We acquired two plots that cover around 40 hectares at the beginning of the year, in Satu-Mare and next to the Bucharest-Constanta motorway. We intend to develop two industrial parks, in stages, which will cover 80,000-100,000 square metres each depending on the demands from companies. We don't make speculative investments, and will only start construction when we have clients," said IIG's general manager for Romania, Pavel Nedelcu. The plot in Fundulea covers 20.5 hectares, while the one in Satu-Mare, located close to the Satu-Mare airport, covers over 9 hectares.
