The turnover of Baxi Romania, the local branch of the British central heating systems maker Baxi, stood at about 1.5 million euros in the first five months of the year. Baxi Romania anticipates it will make 12-15 million euros in full-year turnover, three times more than in 2003. It also hopes to account for 12%-15% of the heating systems market, according to chief executive Claudiu Stanciu. More than 90% of its sales are made between June and November each year. The company counts on its business tripling once it launches the eight-year warranty for its central heating systems, considering the usual warranty for such appliances in Romania is for two or three years.
