Arcom SA Bucharest, one of the main players on the Romanian constructions market, posted 770bn ROL (21m euros) in nine-month revenues, twice (nominal value) the level logged in the year-ago period. Net profit climbed 30% in ROL in this period, to 52bn ROL (1.4m euros), exceeding the 47bn ROL estimated for 2003. The company aims to regain its outlets from Algeria and Libya by 2005, and it also considers investing in production of light metallic frames, as they used to be entirely imported on the Romanian market, company officials say.
