Construction company Arcom SA Bucharest, one of the leading players on the domestic market, doubled turnover last year, due to a number of high-value construction-assembly contracts. Total revenues amounted to 920bn ROL (24.5 million euros) in 2003, compared with 410bn ROL (some 13 million euros) in 2002. Gross profit was in excess of 70bn ROL (about 2 million euros). "We had several high-value orders last year, such as the contracts closed with the National Housing Agency, the school gyms or the 2nd District Mayoralty," Arcom SA economic manager Florian Florescu told Ziarul Financiar.
