Alpina sales on the rise

21.10.2004, 00:00 9

Alpina Reghin, a footwear company that manufactures under licence for Wrangler and Puma, made sales of 480bn ROL (about 12 million euros) in the first nine months of this year. This figure confirms the upward trend of recent years. In 2003 the company had a turnover of 521bn ROL (13.8 million euros), and expects sales to reach 676bn ROL (16.4 million euros) in 2004. "Our turnover rose last year by more than 100bn ROL since 2002, while our 2004 forecasts rely on the fact that we can adjust very well to the demands of our clients. We are flexible to the requirements of the market; we do not rely on the same products or standard models over and over again, but are permanently coming up with something new, even though that requires continual investment. Our clients give us a major advantage as well. We don't have an impressive portfolio of partners, but all the contracts we've won are long-term deals," Adriana Seicean, Alpina customer service representative told ZF Transilvania. ZF
