Air France's turnover on the Romanian market went up 50% in June compared with the same time last year, which shows a renewed flight appetite from its clients, grounded by the war in Iraq and by SARS in the previous months. Its sales in the second quarter of calendar 2003 or the first according to the company's reporting methods increased 12% from the corresponding period of last year. "We've seen a real surge in June and the bookings for July and August show it is not a mere occurrence. We believe the waiting period is over: people are travelling again," said Andre Audesson, Air France Romania's manager until mid next month. ZF
