A&D Pharma evaluates business at 300m euros

27.01.2006, 21:04 10

A&D Pharma, which comprises the Sensiblu drugstore chain and drug distributor Mediplus, has evaluated its business on the Romanian market at approximately 300 million euros, an amount registered as contribution to its share capital. The company established a legal entity by the same name in Romania, which will combine its operations on this market. When it established the new entity, it performed an assessment of the market value of the business, according to the laws in force. "A company called Sograno BV (the majority shareholder of A&D Pharma) operates in the Netherlands, which decided to establish a group structure in Romania, with a holding company, A&D Pharma Holdings that owns operational entities Mediplus Exim and Sensiblu. The A&D Pharma brand grouping the two companies had existed for four years though not as a legal entity," stated Dragos Dinu, A&D Pharma executive chairman. Sograno is an investment fund registered in the Netherlands. "The evaluation report was based on the historical results, on the financial projections of the companies and also on the financial data (market values) of comparable companies in Europe, most of them listed on various stock exchanges," Dinu added. Mediplus'' turnover amounted to 141 million euros in 2004, while Sensiblu''s stood at 50 million euros. Both companies achieved an 80% growth on the previous year. ZF
