Plastic tubes and fittings producer Valrom Industrie logged revenues of 35 million euros last year, up 40% from the previous year. The growth is explained by the increase in demand for construction materials, due to expansion in the construction of residential and office buildings, but also by the development of the territorial distribution network. Valrom expects sales of water storage products to go up, especially in those areas where water quality is poor. The company invested more than one million euros in a water container production line, with production to be diversified so as to include a broader range of specialised products. Valrom's newly released Aquapur product, for storing fluids for consumption by people, is just one example. Valrom hopes to sell 1,000 Aquapur containers by the end of the year, but this product will make a more visible impact on next year's turnover. ZF
