The business of instant payment terminals - where one can payutility bills and buy train or coach tickets is rapidly gainingground in Romania.
One of the players on this market is ZebraPay, which currentlyhas 60 such terminals installed throughout the country The companywants the number of its terminals to reach 1,000 by the end of thisyear and almost 8,000 in five years. The 60 payment terminals wereinstalled in Bucharest, Brasov, Constanta, Cluj, Ploiesti and Iasi,in underground stations, supermarkets, malls and universities, suchas the Romanian-American University. ZebraPay expects to make 20million-euro turnover this year, which are actually the amountsprocessed via its terminals for payment of various services and 420million euros over the next five years.
