Plexus, the US supplier of industry and telecom equipment andservices, is poised to invest 20m euros to build a plant inEurobusiness Oradea industrial park and will hire 350 people overthe next five years.
The US company, which arrived in Romania in 2009, currentlyoperates in a rented space in Oradea and has 150 employees.
"We anticipate our next facility in Oradea will become the mainplant of Plexus corporation in Europe. Technologies in the plantwill include a fault analysis lab, highly important in meeting ourEuropean clients' demands," stated Radu Mişcov, general manager ofPlexus Services Ro. He did not specify the company's clients.
The company's representatives say the new plant may be completedthis year, but it will not operate at full capacity at thebeginning. Products manufactured in Oradea will be exported.
