Unita Turism hotel company expects consolidated turnover to reach 10 million euros this year from the 8 million euros in 2003, marketing manager Marius Pintilie said. The consolidated turnover of the companies in the Unita Turism Group last year progressed by 8%. The hotel units the company controls registered an average occupancy rate of 37%, with Comandor (Mamaia), Moldova (Iasi), Transilvania (Cluj-Napoca) and Amiral (Mamaia) as the top hotels in this regard. The company wants to finalise the merger of the 14 entities it controls, which total 30 accommodation structures. Investment plans for 2004 include a three-star hotel in Timisoara and the further upgrading for several other units, with the works estimated to cost approximately 2 million euros. Mediafax
