04.11.2008, 18:23 7

Tymbark Maspex increased its sales by 25% in the first half of the year against the same period of 2007, above the 20% growth rate forecast for the entire year. "An important factor behind this dynamics is the general consumption increase on the market," said Tymbark Maspex representatives. This year, the producer tapped into two new market segments, fruit-flavoured waters, with Fontea, and carbonated juice, with Life. Currently, the company is investing in building its second plant on the Romanian market, in Valenii de Munte (Prahova county), in the same place as the current plant. Investments in this project are estimated at 30 million euros, with the new juice plant to be inaugurated in the first half of next year. Last year, the company reported turnover worth 57 million euros and a net profit worth one million euros. Tymbark Maspex is the leader of the fruit nectar segment, with a market share put by the company at over 32% (in 2007), with its biggest competitors being multinationals, as well - Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Parmalat. On the Romanian market, the fruit nectar segment saw a 28% rise in terms of value and a 22% increase in terms of volume in the first half, compared with the same time in 2007, according to a survey of market research company Nielsen.
