Automobile Bavaria, the importer of German BMW Group anticipates selling two Rolls Royce Phantoms. The super luxury model with an extended wheelbase is priced at nearly 380,000 euros tax exclusive. The long-wheelbase Rolls Royce Phantom was officially launched in Romania this week and several private test drive sessions were organised for potential clients. "I believe we will sell two such cars following these (test drives), set to be delivered in the forthcoming months," Michael Schmidt, general manager of Automobile Bavaria told ZIARUL FINANCIAR. The new Rolls Royce Phantom model is 25 centimetres longer than the standard version launched approximately three years ago, which was over 5.83 metres long. Accordingly, the price of the new model is over 55,000 euros higher than that of the standard model. The extended wheelbase model was first presented during the Geneva show in the spring of last year and was mainly aimed at the Arab and Middle Eastern countries, where buyers were asking for larger cars. The model became available in Europe this spring. Sales of luxury cars have been growing at a steady pace over the last six years. Maybach, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Maserati and Ferrari are already sold directly in Romania through authorised importers or through dealers based abroad.
