Top management changes at BAT Romania

09.08.2007, 20:15 21

In less than a month, Paul Ogborn and Fabio Lima, two of the five members of the managing board of British American Tobacco Romania, the biggest player on the cigarette market, have been promoted. BAT is a market leader in Romania and the only company whose market share expanded during the first six months of this year. The company in Romania is a fertile ground for managers to exercise their talents and showcase their achievements in their CVs. The most recent example is Paul Ogborn, who was promoted, on August 1, from the position of managing director at BAT Romania to general manager for Southern Europe, thus having responsibilities at a regional level. Only one month ago, Fabio Lima was also promoted, leaving the position of marketing manager. Belgian-born Bart Maas, 40, is now at the helm of BAT Romania.
