Stock Exchange's market value, 75 million euros

08.08.2006, 19:06 12

The first transaction with stock of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) sealed since this was turned into a joint stock company evaluates the operator of the Bucharest stock market at 75 million euros. KD Capital Management brokerage will buy a stake of 1,000 shares at a price of 77 RON/share, namely an overall price of around 22,000 euros, from Dorinvest of Bucharest. The transfer is due to be finalised today once the Stock Exchange Committee approves the deal. Though involving only 0.03% of the Stock Exchange's capital, the deal sets a benchmark as to the market value of the BSE, which is currently undergoing the second assessment process carried by a specialised firm. The evaluation is done with a view to the market's merger with the Sibiu Exchange and the ratio between the evaluations of the two markets is likely to generate disputes among brokers. The first buyer of BSE stock, KD Capital Management, is owned by KD Slovenian group, also dealing in the domain of mutual funds and of insurance in Romania.
