The assets of Giurgiu-based Stenyon producer of game meatcharcuterie, which went bankrupt last year, were not sold duringthe first auction organised by the company's liquidator, though thestarting price stood below two million euros, VAT not included."Nobody attended the auction as there was no buyer at the askingprice," stated Oana Stanica, a lawyer with Management Consultcompany of Giurgiu, Stenyon's liquidator. The price included boththe value of the over 12,000-sqm plot of land and that of theproduction unit's buildings and goods. Also, 12 Dacia, Daewoo andRenault vehicles, totally worth 27,400 euros, VAT not included,were put out for sale. VAT included, the total value of Stenyonassets put up for sale goes beyond 2.2m euros. "At the secondauction, in early March, the starting price for the sale of theassets will go down by 20% and should they still not be sold, theprice will shrink by another 10% at the third auction," Stanicaalso said.
