05.10.2008, 18:23 11

Signal Iduna Asigurari de Viata, an insurance company recently authorised by the Insurance Supervisory Commission, held by German group Signal Iduna, will start to sell life and health insurance policies at the end of this month. "Our product packages are established, and we will mainly rely on private health insurance. There will be separate products for individuals and for corporate entities, and within these classes, we will have products ranging from simple, widely affordable ones, to products that cover the costs of medical services in foreign hospitals," said Sanziana Maioreanu, the company's general manager. According to her, basic health insurance products target clients with incomes slightly above the average income in the economy, i.e. above 370 euros in net sum per month, while sophisticated products target clients with salaries of over 1,000 euros per month. "We have already sealed partnerships with 28 clinics, and we cover more than half of Romania. By the end of the year, we will have over 60 partners," says Maioreanu.
