Although it had originally started as a rich event, at least in terms of participants, the third edition of the Ad'Or Advertising Festival was in no way a Christmas tree for those attending it.
Despite the record number of works competing, i.e. more than 400, the number of prizes actually awarded was very modest.

Ad Print, a festival dedicated to print ads and concluded only several weeks before, in its turn had awarded only a handful of prizes. As for Ad'Or, there were at least ten categories without prizes awarded or even nominations.
It was again the "big boys" in the advertising business that called the shots here, and the smaller agencies barely managed to snatch a prize in the "collateral" (brochures, posters, illustrations) category.
The grand "Agency of the Year" prize was awarded to Leo Burnett, which had accumulated 102 points. The runners-up were BV McCann-Erickson, the winner of the previous two editions -79 points and D'Arcy - 26 points.
Leo Burnett also won a lot of other prizes such as Best TV commercial with "The Limo", part of the "Get ready to be rich!" campaign for Elite Romania, Best Print Ad -"The Stairs" for Prigat Activ (commissioned by Quadrant Amroq Beverages) and Best Outdoor for the same project. McCann-Erickson won, among others, the "Campaign of the Year" award with its "Campaign against discrimination of Romanies". D'Arcy won the prizes for the Alcoholic Beverages category (print) with its ad for the Rai de Murfatlar wine and for the Household Cleaning Products category (TV) with "The Room" (Spor paint).
One of the prize winners was Tempo Advertising, which won Best Mass-Media Commercial with its "The Restaurant" project commissioned by Ziarul Financiar.
