Radu Taracila Padurari Retevoescu (RTPR) law firm, one of the most dynamic firms on the domestic market, envisages a linear development for both its business and team, and does not rule out the possibility of a takeover or alliances. "In 3 or 4 years, we want to strengthen our position in the top 10 largest domestic law firms, with a team of at least 50 lawyers and turnover topping 6m euros," stated Dragos Radu, a partner at RTPR. The company now has a team of 33 lawyers and expects to generate revenues worth above 3m euros this year, around 30% higher than in 2006. RTPR has partnership relations with five international law firms, which brings around 25% of overall revenues, not including direct recommendations to customers by these firms. None of the 5 international law firms are present on the domestic market. "We are not planning to become a firm with a huge number of lawyers, but we want to have both "challenging" customers and deals from a professional point of view. Market expansion has also made us develop, (...) At present, there is competition for talented people and very large deals", says Radu. The domestic law market is estimated to be worth 100-200m euros, with the biggest players including companies such as NNDKP, Tuca Zarcea, Bostina, Musat or Popovici.
