Romstal group, one of the leading players on the sanitary, electrical equipment and installations market, will invest 30 million euros in a new Valrom production centre located in Topoloveni, Arges county. The new Valrom factory, which will specialise in making tubes and fittings from thermoplastic materials, will be located on an around 60 hectare plot of land and will open in early 2009. "The total value of the investment will amount to 30 million euros and will be conducted over three years. The factory will become operational at the beginning of 2009 or in mid 2009 at the latest. We want to double the production capacity of the Valrom and Valplast companies within the next two or three years, and the new factory is a step in the right direction," Enrico Perini, chairman and majority shareholder of the Romstal group told ZF. As Perini explains, Romstal preferred to develop the factory in Topoloveni gradually, and will become fully operational in 2012, in order to reduce the waiting time before production starts.
