Romavia expects business to reach 15m euros

01.06.2007, 17:51 13

Air carrier Romavia, which operates special flights for the Presidential Administration, the Government, Parliament and various ministries, as well as commercial charter and regular flights has budgeted an about 15% increase in turnover this year, to 15 million euros. "We will begin operating the second BAE 146-200 aircraft, which was dry-leased (leased without a crew that is) for five years. We are thus expecting an increase in our business by 15%," said Iuliu-Adrian Goleanu, chairman and chief executive officer of the company. Romavia has its revenues secured from the public budget only for keeping the special aircraft ready, while the rest of its revenues come from its own commercial flight business. Special flights make up half of the company's business, while commercial flights make up the other half.
