Prista Oil posts lower turnover due to oil prices

09.09.2008, 00:06 12

Bulgarian manufacturer Prista Oil, one of the top lubricant importers on the local market, estimates its sales rate in Romania will go up 50% in the second half of the year, to 9 million euros. In the first half of the year, the car and industrial lubricants manufacturer posted sales worth 6 million euros in Romania, accounting for a 14% market share. According to Prista Oil, Lukoil holds the top position on the local lubricant market, while the Bulgarian company is on an equal footing with Hungarian-based MOL, according to the same source. The company had previously forecast a 20 million-euro turnover for its Romanian operations in 2008, but the appreciation in oil prices in the first half of the year had a negative impact on sales.
