Heritage, the most expensive restaurant in Bucharest, also knownas the bankers' restaurant because most of its shareholders comefrom the banking sector, has expanded following a 100,000-euroinvestment, through the opening of Petit Heritage Traiteur. The newrestaurant, located on Radu Beller Street also supplies cateringservices, in addition to food served in the restaurant, andprepared in the Heritage restaurant's kitchen. "We decided toexpand not by opening a new restaurant, but by tapping into acompletely different business segment. With Petit HeritageTraiteur, we target a more extensive category of people whoappreciate sophisticated gastronomy, but do not always have thetime to go to a restaurant. We offer them the possibility to havebreakfast at our restaurant considering that we open at 7:30 in themorning, they can order breakfast here or invite friends over - wesupply the food and the waiting. We believe the two services gohand in hand," say the representatives of Heritage. The majorityshareholder of the Heritage restaurant is businessman DinuPatriciu, who became the richest Romanian following the full saleof the Rompetrol group to Kazakh state-held company KazMunaiGaz.The transaction whereby the Rompetrol group was sold amounted to1.7 billion dollars. The second-largest shareholder of therestaurant is, according to the latest available data, DanPascariu, chairman of the board of directors of UniCredit TiriacBank.
