The monthly number of Romanian buyers on the Bucharest Stock Exchange increased by almost 2,300 last month against May, to 11,600 buyers, almost reaching the 12,500 record high, hit in the first month of the year. The data refers to the number of accounts from which shares were bought at least once from the market in June, which best gauges investor interest in shares. In June, Romanians also were net sellers on the Stock Exchange, with sales exceeding acquisitions by 9.35 million euros. Against the previous month, the net volume increased by 0.47 million euros. In June, Romanian investors bought shares worth 119.24 million euros, almost one million euros less than acquisitions made in May, and made sales worth 128.6 million euros, a 0.49 million-euro drop.
