New Renault Master in Romania

Renault has launched the new version of the Master model in Romania, a van which, since its launch in 1996, has sold 670,000 units worldwide. The new Master, manufactured in the plant of the French town Batilly, will be available in Romania in three different versions for transportation of goods and people. The model created by the Renault Industrial Design Direction is available with two types of diesel engines, a 100 and a 115 horse-powered versions on the Romanian market, which come with a five or six-speed gearbox, depending on the customers' preferences. Besides the Master, Renault's range of utility vehicles also includes the Kangoo and Trafic models. In Romania, Renault sold 2,654 utility vehicles last year, according to statistics of the APIA (The Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association). The direct competitors of the new Master are Iveco Daily, Ford Transit and Peugeot Boxer.
