New factory to boost Tymbark's production capacity 30%

Tymbark Maspex, a Poland-based company, which will finalise its second factory in Romania in September, estimates a 30% increase in its juice production capacity, as a result of the investment. The factory, which is located in Valenii de Munte (Prahova), in the same place as the first factory, will at first bottle non-carbonated beverages Tedi Play and Tymbark Fontea, which were both launched on the local market some time ago. The producer intends to invest around 30 million euros in this project. Company representatives say they will rely on the Tymbark brand for the summer season. "The best-selling products from June through August last year were the Tymbark-branded products (nectar, juice and still drinks)," they added. The producer relies on juices during summer, which offsets the decline on the segment of instant drinks, generated by the natural reduction in consumption at this time of the year. "Consumption of hot drinks goes down in summer, mainly because of the high temperatures. We haven't felt it that much in the sales we've had in this period, because the increase in sales on the soft drinks segment offsets the slight decline of hot drinks," Tymbark Maspex Romania representatives said.
