Mobexpert group of firms, the largest players in the local furniture industry, forecast revenues worth 400 million euros in 2011, based on a rise in the number of new stores, both in Romania and regionally. "Our strategy in the medium and long run entails the consolidation of our regional position. We intend to operate 26 hypermarkets on the regional market by 2011. Outside Romania, we target a network of four Mobexpert hypermarkets in Bulgaria and two in Serbia, and a 20-hypermarket network in Romania. In the long run, we are also considering entering the Moldovan and Ukrainian markets," said Dan Sucu, president of Mobexpert and owner of the group. For 2008, a year in which the whole Mobexpert group (retail, production, imports and real estate services, and logistics) has budgeted an approximately 200 million-euro turnover, four stores are scheduled to open, in Suceava, Pitesti, Ploiesti and Bucharest, with the investments estimated at 8 million euros.
