Metalexportimport, an international trade company, sold the building that houses the company's head office, located in the 1st sector of Bucharest to Ax Consulting, for an estimated value of 5.5 million euros, excluding VAT. The building is located on Sevastopol Street, Bucharest, and consists of a basement, a ground floor and another six floors, with the total surface area standing at 1,200 square metres. Representatives of the parties refused to comment on this move. Metalexportimport was set up in 1948 and, until 1989 was involved in foreign trade. Since 1990, the company has specialised on importing energy products. The company is the majority shareholder of the Fortus plant in Iasi, with 64.7% of the shares.
