Bucharest-based Menatwork Group, comprised of several companies, in Q1 made $5 million in turnover, estimating it to reach $20 million by the end of 2001, Mediafax informs.

Menatwork representatives say the group's 2000 turnover amounted to 238.2 bn lei, that is $11 million.

Menatwork Group, supplier of construction materials and finishing, comprises Menatwork Est Prefabricate, which specialises in marketing and assembling construction materials, and Menatwork & ADP, which specialises in production of metallic structures for wallboard systems, says Viorica Grafu, Menatwork general manager.

Commercial activity accounts for the highest weight in the group's operations, having registered a constant development due to working relations with Lafarge Gessi Armstrong, Rockwool Isopan and General Electric.

Menatwork in June last year started making metallic structures for wallboard systems, with three productive lines currently used in the process and another investment in a productive line for mineral fibre T frames to be made by the end of 2002, Ms. Grafu says.
