Textile manufacturer Manitoba Tex in Arad estimates an approximately 10 million-euro turnover for this year, up 20% on 2006, when the company saw sales worth around 8 million euros. "This year's positive turnover is largely due to our company expanding its activity on the domestic market by closing new contracts with various multinational companies and with advertising agencies operating in Romania. This year we started working with British American Tobacco Romania and we developed our partnership with Coca-Cola. Our work involves producing and printing T-shirts and other types of shirts with the companies' logos, " Sorin Scheuleac, sales manager of Manitoba Tex, told ZF Transilvania. Exports account for 95% in the company's total turnover. For the time being, the sales are made exclusively through the stores in Arad, with the company management intending to expand its sales network to cover the domestic market. "At present, we have contracts signed with Carrefour, and hope to finalise our partnerships with Metro and Selgros by the end of the year, and begin selling products online," said Sorin Scheuleac. The company's foreign business partners include Bitburger Bier and Hofbrauhaus HB-Bier in Germany, Coca-Cola, British American Tobacco Romania, as well as companies from the UK, France, Switzerland and Austria.
