Adrian Ionescu, head of the motorway department of CompaniaNationala de Autostrazi si Drumuri Nationale din Romania (NationalMotorway and National Road Company) says that numerous plans andstrategies for Romania's infrastructure development have beendevised over the last few years, as required by the European Union,which are not observed.
"In ten years, Romania's GDP will grow, maybe not as currentlyanticipated, but it will. On the other hand, there will be apopulation decline by about two million people during the sametime. Putting these pieces of information together along with thefact that we have mostly aged population, get ready to workharder!" said Mihai Ghyka, the manager running the third leadingbeer company, Bergenbier Romania.
