The Romanian division of the Swedish Lindab group is aiming for sales of 28 million euros next year, with estimates for 2004 indicating a 23 million-euro turnover. In the January-November period for 2004, Lindab sold metallic profiles and ventilation systems, the main products of the two divisions of the group, to the tune of 22 million euros, 50% up on last year. "The pace of growth of our business is tightly related to the constructions industry and to investment by foreign companies entering the Romanian market," said Andrei Sulyok, manager of Lindab Romania. The metallic profile division of the group makes metallic systems for the constructions industry. From total turnover, 95% is derived from sales by the Lindab profile business, with the ventilation business accounting for the remaining 5%, according to Sulyok. The market for metallic tiles, which make up 30% of sales in the metallic profile business, is estimated at more than 20 million euros a year. The pace of growth for 2005 is 100%. ZF
