Consulting and audit company KPMG Romania posted gross revenues worth 18 million euros last year, up 29% against 2005, according to statements made by company officials. "Our revenue growth surpassed the market average. All three segments of our business in Romania saw significant increases," said Victor Kevehazi, senior partner of the company. The growth driver was the auditing component, accounting for the better part of the companyes business. Revenues derived from auditing amounted to 10.8 million euros last year, a 35% increase. At the same time, the tax-consulting segment saw the biggest growth, where revenues went up 50% against 2005, to 3 million euros. In the business advisory area, KPMGes revenues for 2006 stood at 4.2 million euros, an increase of merely 15%. This year, Kevehazi estimates his companyes revenues will go up by 15% to 25%. "It is, however, just a start-of-the-year conservative estimate," he says. Kevehazi estimates the consulting and auditing market at some 100 million euros for this year, with a two-digit growth potential for many years to come.
