Higher pay reflected in Medicover accounts

28.02.2005, 00:00 10

Medical services company Medicover Romania last year reported 21% higher revenues on 2003, up to 4.2 million euros, with Q4 sales worth 1.2 million euros, 43% higher, reads the group's preliminary report. At the same time, the number of customers of Medicover Romania last year rose 61%, to 24,000. "Growth registered by Medicover Romania is owed to a combination of several factors. First, the improved economic climate leads to an increasing demand of higher salary packages for the company to keep its personnel, and a high-quality health insurance becomes of increasing importance," states the company. Moreover, the popularity of health services and benefits secured by employers is on the rise. Another factor behind the positive results is the 9.2% higher consumption of private medical services, with a slight decrease anticipated for this year. Last year, Medicover expanded its network of clinics, with the company currently operating six medical centres, of which three in Bucharest and one in Focsani, Cluj and Constanta each. ZF
