Sales of Elmec Romania, a division of Greek clothing and footwear distributor Elmec Sport went up 34% in the first six months of the year, compared with the same time last year, and reached 23.4 million euros. EBITDA amounted to 4.1 million euros during the same period. Romania was the company's second largest market after Greece in the first half of the year and generated 20.5% of the sales of Elmec Sport. "The sales increase has to do with the positive performance of "Attica" stores, with Converse's distribution on the Greek and Cypriot markets, and the increase in demand for Nike products in Romania and Bulgaria," according to Elmec Sport.
