12.03.2008, 18:54 10

The former Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Ion Sturza, gave up the management of Rompetrol Moldova, but recently took over the position of deputy general manager of the petroleum group Rompetrol. The main goal of his term in office will be to identify and develop collaboration opportunities with Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGaz, the new majority shareholder of the Rompetrol group, which continues to be led by businessman Dinu Patriciu. Sturza's former position at the helm of Rompetrol's operations on the Moldovan market, has been taken over by Alexandru Coman, a former member of the management team of Rompetrol Moldova. "Sturza resigned from his position as CEO of the Rompetrol group. In his new capacity, Sturza will seek to identify and develop new partnership opportunities that result from the transaction concluded with KazMunaiGaz," said Rompetrol representatives.
