Gruia Stoica expects 16% higher revenues for GFR

Grup Feroviar Român (GFR - Romanian Railway Group), the biggestprivate railway operator, controlled by businessman Gruia Stoica,has budgeted 650 million lei (154.7 million euros) in revenues forthis year, up more than 16% against last year.
"This year's estimate is 650 million-lei revenues. The contractssealed last year with Lukoil and Rompetrol, which together amountto 35 million euros, will have an impact on 2011 figures," saidofficials of Grup Feroviar Român, part of the Grampet group, whichalso includes Remar Paşcani, Reva Simeria and Turist Semenic.
Gruia Stoica, one of the most discreet Romanian businesspeople, whohas built a several hundred million-euro business in the railwayindustry, is the owner of the Grampet group. The biggest company inthe group is GFR, which operates 9,500 carriages and 225locomotives. GFR has 2,300 employees at present, according tocompany officials.
GFR shareholders are Grampet SA ( 50.45%), Vasile Didilă, with26.1%, Rapid Com (held by Vasile Didilă) with 14.1% and Turnoprest(held by Vasile Didilă) with 9%.
