Gregory's Romania, the domestic subsidiary of Greek fast-food outlet Gregory's, is set to open four restaurants in Bucharest this year and add a further five in 2009 in the wake of investments worth approximately 900,000 euros. "The restaurant in Buzesti is almost finished and will be opened in several weeks. We have already signed a contract for a restaurant in Ghencea as well, and we'll start construction works in mid-July and open in September. At the same time, we're waiting for the University passageway to be finished to enter that area again and should another opportunity emerge in the same area we'll look at it. Investments per store revolve around 120,000 euros, but I'm trying to minimise costs to reach a level of 80,000 euros," Cora Stolz, general manager of Gregory's Romania, told ZF. For 2009, the company targets shopping centres and also plans to expand in a franchise system.
