28.11.2007, 18:06 11

Delcar, the third largest Skoda dealer in terms of sales, estimates it will post turnover worth 25 million euros this year, up 78% on last year, following an increase in the number of Skoda cars sold. In the first 10 months of the year, the Brasov-based company saw an approximately 21.5 million-euro turnover from the servicing and sales of new and second-hand cars through the Weltauto centre. In July this year, Delcar struck a partnership with Weltauto (which sells second-hand cars), with investments worth 600,000 euros, which were used to build and set up necessary equipment and train personnel. In its first year in business, the company plans to make on average 15 acquisitions and 10 sales each month. "For 2007 as a whole, we estimate turnover will exceed 25 million euros. The positive trend in turnover was prompted by an increase in the volume of sales, as well as by an increase in the share of acquisitions paid in cash (...), stated Simina Costan, general manager of the company.
