Dan Sucu , chairman and majority shareholder of the Mobexpert group, the largest player on the furniture market will focus on opening large galleries, relying on the fact that Romanians want to buy all the furniture for their homes from one place. "We started from a single Mobexpert store and the more progress we made with the life style idea, the more customers we found that feel more at home in an entire furniture universe," Dan Sucu said. He believes it is no longer enough to display an item in a window to sell it; a more effective method is put it in a context, to create an atmosphere. "My experience in the furniture (business) has allowed me to build a mall where every merchant finds its own niche. It is equally important to have minimalist furniture and Latin, medium-tall furniture in one place," he added. Dan Sucu's concept has materialised in the Mobexpert Gallery Baneasa, the largest interior design mall in Romania, opened after a 15 million-euro investment, made by Domus Mex. This is the real estate investment company of the group. Domus Mex has witnessed the most dynamic trend within the Mobexpert Group. The gallery takes up 23,000 square metres and includes 12 home decor stores. One of them is the first franchise of the Danish Bo Concept furniture maker in Romania. Other companies are Home Fashion (Latin-inspired furniture and decorations), Lemon, Zaria (the gallery where Romanian artists display their work), Descamps and Art Interior (European design), as well as the largest home appliances and IT equipment store of Flanco in Romania (3,500 square metres).
