Daewoo to sell 28,000 cars

04.12.2003, 00:00 29

After having reported record sales almost every month this year, domestic carmaker Daewoo Automobile has even bigger plans for 2004. The Craiova-based plant will focus both on the Romanian market and on exports. "We estimate to sell between 26,000 and 28,000 vehicles next year," Ion Ion, vice president of Daewoo Automobile Romania, said. According to Ion, the sales' volume will maintain only if the company resumes exports. "We have exported only engines and gear boxes this year to countries such as Egypt, but we hope to resume the exports of vehicles next year, as well," Ion added. ZF
