Compa Sibiu profit down to half

04.12.2003, 00:00 5

Automotive components maker Compa Sibiu will end the year with 14.6bn ROL net profit, down more than 51% from the initial estimate in the S&R budget endorsed in late April, which had set 30bn ROL as this year's target. Compa's revenues at the end of 2003 will amount to 974bn ROL, compared with the initial 930bn ROL estimate, while spending will go up from 890bn ROL to 954bn ROL. The turnover will progress by 35bn ROL to 935bn ROL. "Both revenues and expenses went beyond the initial projections. Still, costs were faster to progress than revenues and this situation was caused by the increase in the spending on raw materials, supplies and SDV (checking tools and devices i.e.), as well as in the personnel expenses," said Adriana Coman, the head of the company's Controlling department. Compa in 2002 logged 29.4bn ROL net profit, and revenues amounted to 777.1bn ROL. Its share capital amounts to 77.8bn ROL and is held by the employees association 51.19%. Compa is listed on the second tier of the Bucharest Stock Exchange and has last traded at an average of 2,300 ROL. ZF
