Courier service company Cargus plans to attain a 10% share of the international express courier market in Romania after having established GeoPost Cargus, a joint venture with GeoPost Yurtici Kargo, one of the leading players on the courier market in Turkey. The partnership will push Cargus'' turnover this year beyond 15 million euros, an increase of 80%. "The partnership with GeoPost will help us enter the pan-European network before Romania''s EU accession. Our goal is to account for 10% of the Romanian international express courier market in the next three years," stated Augustin Plesea, Cargus chairman. GeoPost is the third leading player on the express courier service market in Europe, after DHL and TNT, and wants to consolidate its position on the continent through this joint venture. ZF
