Saint Gobain Sticla Romania, a domestic subsidiary of French construction supplies group Saint Gobain estimates to have made approximately 800,000 euro turnover last year, its representatives say. The turnover of the company therefore remains relatively constant in euros compared to the previous year, when it reached 25.5bn ROL (some 815,000 euros), as shown in the latest financial statement filed with the Finance Ministry. Saint Gobain Sticla Romania SRL was established as a distribution centre on the local market based on a decision of the French group's management in late 1999 prompted by the successful sales of glass for construction use in Romania. The French industrial giant dealing in glass and other construction supplies is currently operating through three companies on the Romanian market, Saint Gobain Sticla Romania (glass products), Saint Gobain Isover Romania (insulations) and Saint Gobain Weber Romania (construction supplies).
