Bucharest Business Park, one the most important real estate projects on the office space market to be finalised this year, has already been rented 80% well over six months ahead of its completion. "Its construction was kick-started last June and at this moment it is 80% rented by major companies," says Horatiu Florescu, associate director with the local office of Colliers International. He says that the total area available in the four independent buildings is of about 18,500 square metres of office space. Getting major companies operating on the Romanian market onto the list of tenants can be considered as the first step in attracting investors willing to buy a real estate project. The tenants waiting to move in one of the four buildings of Bucharest Business Park this July include the local branches of some multinationals, such as Carpatcement Holding, British American Tobacco or IBM.
