At Luxury Show, Maserati sells driver-included cars

Each Maserati car sold at the Luxury Show fair organised during December 4-7 at Romexpo, is going to include the services of a professional driver over a period of six months, according to Mike Costache, Maserati country manager. "We came up with idea while hearing a statement by premier Tariceanu, whereby he proposed that companies should be granted 1,000 euros for each unemployed person they hire. Such a car is usually driven by a driver and not by the owner and we want to make customers get used to this. For the time being, of all Maserati customers in Romania two have a driver at most. This is also important for the economy," stated Costache. Drivers' wages, of 600 euros in net amount, are paid by the importer for six months and after this period Costache expects the drivers to be directly hired by car owners. "This is a much better marketing idea. We offer no discount as rivals do, the brand retains its prestige and we thus bring added value," Costache said. Costache also said around 200 potential customers are expected to come at the fair. Almost 200 companies of the luxury industry are present at this year's edition of the Luxury Show fair. The fair, organised by Romexpo and Euroexpo, is structured along five main themes.
