Sighisoara-based Automotive Safety Components International RO (ASCI), which is part of the American group Safety Components International, one of the leading airbag producers, estimates a 7 million-euro turnover for this year, a figure double last year's value. "This is a realistic target, as in the first half of the year we achieved a turnover to last year's. Additionally, in the coming period, we will start producing new models. At present, our only problem is ensuring the necessary personnel, given the increasing shortage of labour, both skilled and unskilled," Cristian Ciucan, financial manager of ASCI RO, told ZF. The company's plans for this year are aimed at increasing production capacities, which have seen a 15% rise since the beginning of the year.
