Arobs: Hardware sales take longer to recover, mobile phones and software rise faster

Arobs Transilvania Software, a Cluj-based producer and supplierof IT applications, expects a 10-15% sales rise this year against2009, when the company's business reached 6.5 million euros. Lastyear Arobs posted a 10% turnover decline on the previous year.

"We are counting on a recovery of the IT&C market startingin the second part of the year, with companies in the IT sector setto narrow the gap created last year. Hardware sales, the segmentmost affected by the crisis, will take the longest to recover,whereas mobile terminals and related software applications will seea much faster rise in the coming period," Voicu Oprean, generalmanager of Arobs Transilvania Software, told ZF Transilvania.

The Cluj company operates on three different business segments(distribution of navigation systems, software applications for thedomestic market and software solutions for the foreign market).According to Arobs representatives, the number of customers whoacquire TrackGPS software solutions (car GPS tracking) andOptimallSFA (sales automation) continues to grow. The company hasover 450 clients for its TrackGPS application, with around 6,000cars being tracked.
