Constanta-based edible oil producer Argus SA last year posted turnover worth 50 million dollars, up 40% since 2001. "The growth was due to the excellent distribution. We worked hard the entire year and it was a great market for us," said Vasile Leu, the company's general manager. "In the oil business, we are tightly connected to agriculture. If agriculture goes well, output is big. Things are different when the crops are smaller," Leu added. The general manager would not reveal the profit margin, but said it was "much better than in 2001." ZF
